Reportedly many speed improvements in this version. I use the dev versions so it's been gradual to me.

Is this a modified Internet Explorer like Avant, or a different browser which just rips off IE6s styling?

looks like another shell for ie like slim browser or avent.

It's more like Netscape Browser 8, in that you can switch between Trident and Gecko as the rendering engine.

I used a beta awhile ago for this, and I rather liked the UI and how it performed. I can't load their forums however, any notes on what has changed since the 2.6 beta I used? noexpression.gif

Its a shell for IE and FF3. Its pretty fast... think of it like Opera UI with Firefox engine. The default interface is a little flaky imo

It's Fx, not FF. biggrin.gif ... so where's the need for this? Looks like a weird Avant Browser clone with the possibility to choose a better engine... but why should anyone prefer this to Firefox then?

It'll have all the same issues as IE and any possible issues on top of that.
