You know, I was a member of the Shift Team and had access to that subforum. I may not have been a core member but I did write some good copy for the Shift Wiki, including an introduction to the project that really does hit all the right nails on their heads:
http://shiftlinux.net/wiki/index.php/Shift_BasicsI learned how to make my own Shift distro, I contributed ideas here and there and I was also on board to help with the promotional push for Shift One. I learned a lot and was proud to be a member of the team. I remain grateful to Barney and CrimsonRedMk for all their help.
Now that the dust has settled a bit and I've had a chance to think more on it, I just don't know how I feel about it. I mean, I woke up one day a couple of weeks ago to find, like all other Shift Team Members, that the Team had been axed without warning. All of us normal Members lost access to the dev subforum and the ideas, logs and links that we'd been putting there.
I really believed in Shift (just look at that link above to see what I thought it was all about). I am not sure about it now. I am not sure that I liked the rug being pulled out from under me without any notice or cause. I don't know if I want it to happen again, to me at least.
