What has happened with WLM 9.0, I remember hearing the beta started in about November... Now its nearly May and I haven't seen anything about it since...
There havent been any new builds of it since the initial download. i guess ms is working on something very hard

I beleive they're dedicating a lot of time to the new Web Messenger which is currently in Dogfood, since it hasn't been updated in a long while.

due to the NDA i cannot give details but i can say that the windows live messenger 9 beta is still out there lol and it is still amazing. The Current Build (still pretty old is
Version 2009 (build 9.0.1407.1107)
so it has not changed since november at all

You can get most of the "new features" through Messenger Plus! Live. The only interesting feature for me is the ability to use animated GIFs as your display picture.
