Well, it's all dandy and stuff, but... is it possible to turn it off, if only temporary? (^_^);

What is bilinear filtering in Firefox?
artibatirae
It filters images when they're scaled up, smoothing them out.
Calum
Ahhh, I see. Thank you.

I can't think of anything to suggest other than there may be an extension out there which can do this for you? Have you searched the Firefox Add-ons website? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

If there aren't any extensions for it yet, there may be one or two developed after the Firefox 3 final is released smile.gif

EDIT: Unless anyone knows any 'about:config' options which allow you to disable it?
artibatirae
No mod for it. Was hoping there would be something in about:config, but can't find anything specific about it.
Calum
I just edited my post saying unless anyone knows any 'about:config' options to disable it, before I saw yours! tongue.gif lol.

I've searched a bit for extensions and about:config options, but I can't find anythin anywhere. hmm.gif Sorry.

Heh! Still, kind of a shame. Some stuff just doesn't filter well.

Yeah, there isn't an option for it, it just checks to see if the scale isn't 1.0

Personally, I'd like to see them adopt the IE CSS rule for it, -ms-interpolation or something.
