Surprised there aint a topic already about this movie was it not released worldwide yet or something? I seen it a while back in the cinema and thought it was really great...amazing story and Colin Farrell was actually really good in it. I'd def give it a 9/10 and its def worth the 8.1/10 its receiving on iMDB.

No matter how great it is, I don't care much for movies that have so much swearing.

I thought it was a great film

Anyway, I thought it was a nice movie. Don't care about the swearing.

It was a good movie but the murders seemed a bit unrealistic.

I thought it was boring, even the shootings at the end was kinda boring, though it did have good acting.

I don't mind swearing, but it was unrealistically annoying after the first 20 minutes.

Was going to start a review about this movie, but saw one was already made.

Just have to say this movie was fantastic.
Colin Farrel really surprised me in this one, I now consider him a very good actor. His comic timing and nuances were both dead on. He played this part amazingly well.

I thought the script was fantastic, cinematography great, and the overall story was done brilliantly I thought.

Honestly is my sleeper film of 08, I thought it was that damn good.

I loved the film, top notch acting and spot on story. Although there were more fuks in the movie then I usually use a month , somehow it fitted very well with the rest of the script.

Very good movie, so little people give credit to Colin Farrel

Well the thing is, I never gave him much credit as what did I really have to judge him on before this movie? One of the worst bits of acting I have ever seen in Daredevil, and a bunch of pretty bad action movies like Miami Vice and SWAT. Phone Booth was decent, but I really just viewed him as a pretty boy action type actor.

This role made me completely think so much differently of him it is not even funny. I really think his comedic timing was a thing of acting beauty to watch, he literally had me cracking up the entire time, and it was purely just his delivery and facial expressions doing it all. Nevermind he also had to act every emotion out there.

What basically starts out as a very comedic movie suddenly turns into almost a tragedy drama, I do not want to ruin anything at all, but it really was incredibly well written.

And I mean cmon, who does not like a dwarf?

8 times out of 10, when I am watching a movie and I see the Focus Features in the beginning with the blue and green circles, I know that means there is a good chance I am going to at least like the movie. And this movie just caught me so off guard, was not expecting it to be so damn good as it was.

I really cannot say enough about this movie.

Yeah I have watched it twice myself, and I think its a master piece. I would recommend you watch Daylight Robbery, another great British movie.

Love this movie. Colin Farrell is really good in that role. Great story overall .

A sleeper hit for sure! They just dont make enough films like this

honestly... i think this film had it's boring stretches (i aint one of those people that get bored easy with movies in general either) but it had it's moments to but mainly later in the movie as early on it was fairly boring.

overall though cause of it's sometimes semi-boring/slow pacing i cant give it more than a 7/10 (which is what i ended up giving it)... later in the movie it got better than early on which was mainly when all the boring stuff mainly happened.... it's overrated if you ask me on the whole.

Ralph Fiennes was pretty good though as when he was on screen later in the movie it got better.

me personally, i think Colin Farrell's best movie is still 'Phone Booth' (8/10)

Watched this a few weeks back. A sleeper hit of an oddball thriller for sure. The ending wasn't very good, but everything before was a hoot. The dialogue in particular was hilarious at times!

It's available on DVD in the UK today and has been available on DVD in the USA for some time. Us Aussies still haven't seen a theatrical release. This is (one reason) why piracy is so abundant. It's not that hard to do a world wide release these days. I won't pirate this film, that's wrong, but I will vote with my wallet by not seeing it at the cinema. Might catch it on DVD if/when it eventually comes to DVD some time next decade.

only thing that bugged me was that i expected the canadian to be soemwhere in the ending( i was waiting during the whole chase) lolll

Credit to Ralph Fiennes for a typically understated bad guy role.

This movie is stuck in my head 2 months after seeing it. Dark, hilarious, tragic, clever, horrific, hopeful... excellent performances. I'm impressed. A second time director just showed how it's done, and did so brilliantly.

Just watched it to kill some time. Certainly an interesting flick with its bits of slowness, but overall a good watch. Good acting by the two main stars
and man do they drop the f bomb, but it fits the movie perfectly. Worth a rental for sure.

Was an excellent film, much better then expected. Would recommend it for sure. 5/5
