Full Version: Photoshop issue..

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this thread; I just had no idea where else to post it.

Ive made a small image file to show you my issue.

Basically, before I had Photoshop CS2...and i tried to do the following thing with it...it worked completely fine...

And it completely deleted the pixels that I wanted to delete to make nice rounded corners.

With CS2 and beyond (i now have CS3), rather than deleting pixels, it just seems to leave me with a stupid glow effect.

I bet this is a noob question with a simple response but it has me stumped ^_^

Help anyone? biggrin.gif

There are 2 ways of doing this:
1. You can just use the rounded edge rectangle tool.
2. You're on the right track with the featuring but you have to do that in a blank alpha channel. Just google Photoshop Rounded corners and you'll find more detail.

Don't select feather, select smooth and make sure feather is set to zero.
