I have had my iMac for maybe just over a week now and down the bottom of my screen abit towards the right hand corner there is like some sort of heat/fog in between the monitor and the glass and its blurry, and pretty sure its not the display and the fog it like a egg shaped wavy fog, it will be really hard to pick up on camera but ill do my best

Should i call apple and ask, or its not a big problem, please let me know your suggestions Cheers
Elven
Yup I would get onto Apple immediatly smile.gif

Is there a line which i can call anytime? I do also have the Protection Package

FOund out the phone-line, Apparently apple said they have been getting alot of calls about the 24" iMac getting condensation in between the displays and they want me to turn sleep off and leave the iMac running over night, hopefully it doesn't have any more issues

This was actually a common problem with the first batch of 24'' Aluminum iMacs.

oh really, well apparently its ok, the monitor is fine now, if this issue keeps happening, apple will expect an imac in the mail ^^

Don't play around with this one, visit your local Retail Apple Store or get in touch with AppleCare Support and tell them you want to have the machine replaced... That isn't a common issue with the current batches of iMacs so I'd high recommend getting it repaired/replaced before it gets worse.

Ok no worries, just happened again, and i rang and the agent said to repeat the steps the previous agent told me to do and notify us if the problem persists again, also if i do get the machine repaired, will i have to pay for anything, and will i lose any files?

Sorry about the delay, I've been sick and it's been slowing me down. wink.gif

If the machine is under Warranty or AppleCare the repair should be covered with no cost to you, however, Apple is not responsible for your data so please make sure you have a complete TimeMachine Backup (or other Backup) before sending your machine for warranty service. smile.gif

so wait how do i setup timemachine, or should i just burn all my files on a dvd?
Elven
I am not sure on Timemachine mate, if your in a hurry I recommend just burn to dvd and store it safely, you can always restore and setup time machine at a later date.

If the dialog doesn't pop up on the screen, just plug in your external HD and start time machine (in Applications or through Spotlight)
