Saw this on DVD a few days ago and it's an astonishingly good movie, considering the subject matter.
A group of Camdodian and Iraqi refugees have payed an Indonesian fishing boat captain to drop them off on the Australian shore, where they will either claim refugee status or exist as illegal immigrants. This is a typical case of people-smuggling in this country and I was expecting some kind of preaching about human-rights but the film is actually a hugely entertaining "road movie" with hints of Flight of the Phoenix.
The Indonesians drop them at the remote northwest shore of the continent and tell them to catch a bus to the nearest city, Perth, which is a few thousand kilometers away.
Great camera work and incredible scenery, and most of the dialog is in English.
