It wouldn't benefit Nintendo, as they wouldn't have anymore Wii games from Sega.

I dont believe Microsoft if they did puchase Sega would kill off a profitable business model (developing games for the Wii) but just adding talented developers as security for their platforms Xbox, Windows, Windows Mobile and Zune

If they make extra by porting to another system and its worthwhile they will do it

^^Why would they make games on a competing product. Microsoft only makes games for the DS because they don't have a portable gaming system like the DS or PSP. So I don't think Microsoft would help Nintendo.

What the heck are you talking about? Ruined PC diversity? What does that even mean? They don't even make PCs. That other company does.

PC gaming lives and dies by technology MS creates and releases in their operating systems and DirectX.

They publicly admitted they let PC gaming go while they focused on the 360, although they intend to turn that around.

Much as people loved to bitch about Vista, a lot of the gaming related changes were intended to promote stability and ease of use so that all those really clueless people could, in fact, play games easier.

Sega has been fairly friendly to Microsoft so it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. But I'll still believe it when I see it.

If anything this better not kill off the Sonic RPG coming to the DS... MS will then have to endure my wrath realmad.gif

I doubt MS would stop projects in development unless they're far from release, at which point Sega already knows they're not living up to expectations.

This would be pretty epic if it happened.

Has Sega really made any great Wii games anyway? Sonic/Secret Rings was.....bland at best (to be nice). Mario/Sonic Olympics was even a step below that, and got forgotten because of SSB:B.

Yeah their in-house development efforts seem pretty substandard.
Their publishing arm has some great stuff though.

Why do they make Office for OS X

Because people buy it

I understand your point though

People actually think MS will release games for the Wii? Thats not going to happen. The Wii is a direct competitor.

This is a stupid rumor. If Microsoft didn't raise a finger to buy Bioware, the studio that did Project Gotham, and there was one other place that got sold that did GOOD games for the 360 exclusively, why would they waste a dime on a studio that hasn't come out with a good game in like 7 years.

Because OSX is limited to Mac computers (not talking about OSX86) and Microsoft does not have anything to lose. They can make money on Apple while Apple can only gain market share from Apple made computers. Also Microsoft owns shares of Apple so they they are close, but not that close. They are like distant DISTANT relatives from many other mothers.

Anyways, SEGA should not let Microsoft buy them out.

if MS buyout sega they should bring out Shenmue 3 ... been waiting for too long sad.gif
