I have Ipod Touch and I want to play videos on it the problem most of the videos I have are in either MKV or AVI format and Ipod touch doesnt support that so I tried converting them to mp4 with a program called "Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite" while the program worked but left the subtitle unreadable ...is there a program that will show the subtitle for my anime series to appear clearly?

my second question is about imac.....can I play games like I do on the PC? can I upgrade my gfx card anytime I want?

Are you using an Mac for the video conversion? If so look into Visual Hub or Hand brake both will convert the files you have to iPod touch playable files.

You can play games on the iMac, some games will not run great but they will run. If you looking for a gaming desktop then stick with a PC or go the route of the Mac Pro. You can't upgrade the video card in the iMacs, but if you got the Mac Pro you could but they cost around 3k dollars

Try: http://homepage.mac.com/major4/

You can use Boot Camp. You can't upgrade the gpu.

I'm not sure about the first question. The only option that springs to mind is manually adding in the subtitles by editing the movie. Not the best option, as it'll take ages to do.

As for the second question, yes and no. You can play games on the Mac, if they're made for the Mac, or they're universal games, meaning they can be played on PC and Mac. You'll have to find a list somewhere that shows games available for Mac. I think Apple has a list on their site.

If the Anime in question is softsubbed then you can just increase the font size. If it's hardsubbed, no luck sad.gif

Erm, You know you can run Windows on a Mac now right? And you can also render 3D games like Quake 4 inside a virtual machine technically making any game run on a Mac biggrin.gif
