Anyone else keep being told they need to use the classic version and even then the left hand sidebar with folders is extra long n ****ed up?
Rich.
My bar is ok, but I'm forced to use the classic version too.

Quite true, although you'd think it'd work off the boat with FF3 Final release.

Scrolling is also uber jaggedy and pages sort of break up when I scroll.
I'm going back to FIrefox 2, sorry Mozilla!

Yeah I had the old version, but the scrolling was bad for me in FF2 as well, so no difference there, just in the old style... :\

Scrolling was in myspace actually, FF2 just wouldn't work at all just kept crashing so it's back to FF3 grrr. I got IE tab add on but it won't run on FF3 apparently.
Friggin' garrrr, things never just work for me and I always get the blame in the house cos I'm the computer person!!
Rich.
I just use Windows Live Mail. But IE Tab will work for Hotmail.

The scrolling issue annoys the hell out of me! Any site with a fixed background somewhere will have horrible scrolling like you said. Funny thing is, the scrolling issue didnt exist until beta 5 ... beta 4 works just fine and from what I heard the problem wont we solved until firefox 3.1 or something

I do not have a problem with scrolling. Maybe something other than Firefox is causing it?

WL full version worked fine in FF2, I hope they fix this fast, I hate that classic mode.

I'm pretty sure it is Fire fox 3 on fixed background webpages that knackers up the scrolling and the Hotmail is probably as others have said MS browser sniffing.
I have followed someones advice on here n gone onto Windows Live Mail program, it's well awesome!

I've experienced firefox scrolling issues on osx, linux and windows, although they are rare in osx/windows and more common (as always has been) on linux. But I would discard the "external factor" here

it's probably just some out-dated user agent sniffing going on

Yeah, something is wrong with Firefox, scrolling just isn't as smooth as IE. After using firefox for a week, opening up IE makes it feel like IE is fast....

And according to Mozilla, Firefox 3 is faster
