In light of the sequel I decided to finally see the first film and considering Del Toro is the writer/director behind this film, I had to see it and absolutely loved it. Really disappointed I hadn't watched it sooner, but I must say, I'm glad I did because I got to see it on Blu-Ray on my new 46" HDTV. Beautiful and brilliant Great film, highly recommended!

One of my favorite comic book movies. Visually epic, great cast, great villians, great heroes. My only criticism is the ease with which HB offed the big baddy at the end, but that's small potatoes in a largely good movie. Selma Blair is delicious!

Yes, Selma Blair was gorgeous in this film.

I remember when this was in the theater, and I thought it looked kind of dumb from its trailers. I rented it when it came on DVD just for the heck of it, and freakin LOVED IT.
