how do you make the top and bottom gnome panels into one (window like) taskbar?

at top bar, Unlock ALL applets , then right click to move, move your mouse to Bottom bar, like this MOVE all applets to bottom , arrange them and then simply DELETE the top bar. 
i cant believe i missed that.
im on fedora so mines a bit different i believe, but i just accidently deleted the "open windows" panel from the bottom, and cant find it
