Hey guys, was wondering about some stuff iPhone + Appstore related.

I'm currently using the iPhone 1 and will be upgrading to the iPhone 3G in September, if I buy some apps for my iPhone 1 will I be able to merge them over when I get the new phone? Music, you can, but will they change the rules for the App Store?

What do you guys think?

i haven't read any details that address your question, but I can already hear the public outcry if they don't provide a mechanism to backup and restore apps.

Well, I figured Apple wouldnt have released much information in this way yet hence asking, what would you guys predict apple to do?

I would it would work the same way as music. You can re-download.

From my understanding it will be synced with iTunes like your current music is so the same rules should apply, I do not believe this detail has been published specifically so I'll see what I can find out tomorrow from Marketing/PR.
