i have a pny geforce 8800gt 512mb. i had the latest nvidia drivers installed from there website. i have since switched back to the 169.25 drivers that came on the cd with my card. i think some of my bsod's were from the new vista drivers. do any of you guys own this card and if so what display version drivers do you use? i just want to make sure if i should run these older drivers or not ? is there a more stable driver version out there for my card ? im running vista 32bit now but soon to be vista x64 by weeks end. thanks in advance !

Did you get the latest driver from nvidia or the one on pny's site? Get the one from nVidia if so...

When talking NVIDIA, generally the latest drivers are the most stable ones. Just make sure to get em straight from NVIDIA and you're usually good to go.

Also grab mobo and sound drivers of course, but anyway.

The new drivers I swear have botched up Vista sidebar and made it busted.

It does not work or start anymore.

I'm using the 175.19 drivers and they are fine. The best ones though out there is the 177.39 and the 177.41 drivers which are for the GTX 200 Series but there is modded .inf so you can install them on the 8800GT with the physx drivers somewhere out there.
