I got a new Ipod Touch, and it seems to be missing Google maps, Mail, Stocks and probably some other programs that i missed.

Everyone else had these programs when they get theirs...

Ive tried updating, restoring, downgrading... nothing works...

Ideas?!!?

Your iPod touch was probably from before those apps appeared..
Give it back to store and get a new one

You probably got an older model, before the update with mail and google maps. I would take it back to the store and change it.

if you didn't get it with a discounted price, take it back to the store and get another one, or just pay $9.99 tomorrow and you will update your software to 2.0 and those apps will be included.
and since you will probably update the software sometime anyway, just pay the $9.99 and upgrade.

buy january update or maybe they come with 2.0 firmware $10 upgrade this time round for those who didn't get them in january. or jailbreak and get them or if you already paid for them call apple if you restored and lost them i just gave up after buying and restoring and losing them and followed apples guide to get them back and no go (what a waste of money the january update was) and so i jailbroke it and got them through that method.

Taking it back to the store is my last option.

How would i jail break the firmware on there? (my ipod is already jail broken, but how would i put the firmware with all the recent apps on there)

Or just buy the 2.0 firmware update. It comes with the January apps as well.
