Meet Aurelia.
I was thinking today, if i had to redesign Messenger, how would i do it. So here's what i came up with, my ideal messenger app: Minimal, functional and retaining the Aero look and feel.
I would love to see this design realized, but i dont have any knowledge of XML, So are there any devs here would like to work with me to bring this to life?

That's nice, very nice in fact, but likely won't happen. There too much bloat there won't be a minimal application. If if I were to make some suggestions though, don't display everyone's email to save some space, I'd like to see more contacts rather than more information per contact. But it's an option like it is now.

Thanks sundayx! Regarding your concerns, its definitely no Adium or miranda! hehe..
my main goal was to take msn and improve on the current design, and in the process ive removed most of the bloat. Esp by the way of features and extras. And also if realized, it will definitely be able to switch between a simple list view and the detailed view (shown above).

I like it, except you missed the most important part, the menu! +1 for removing the emails, and I wish this were a reality now...

Interesting, though a bit harder to realise, but still interesting.

@Nxqd3051990: Thanks! This is a concept for a Windows Live Messenger skin, but no im not making it, but i am looking for any developers that would be interested in doing this!

It looks very nice, I like the rounded rectangles, fonts/text, and simple interface with the users avatar.
Hell I'D use that and I use Adium on the mac

Nice work bro

Maybe you've heard of this already, but if stripping down the interface is the main thing you're after, it's possible to get a pretty close approximation to this mockup in regular MSN using the A-Patch...

hehe im already using the apatch, but i still dont like the disconnect it has from Aero and how bloated it is..
Anyways, just to update, im not working with a developer to get this working
See this is what Microsoft needs to do;
They need to look at concepts and learn from them, not just throw everything into the application.
Change the icons on the bottom right, they are the default WLM icons and IMHO.. the worst icons I have ever seen, also the minimize/Maximize/Close buttons - they have been used by live apps and milked to hell and back and need a new look.. sure if it's not broke don't fix it but seriously. Finally the send button does not do any justice.. well for me, I suggest trying something else its just a little to plain.
other than that nice work
