I have the 3 files needed to patch Vista to allow 3rd party themes, but given I'm running Vista x64, do I put the 3 files into System32 or SysWOW64, as I see the shsvcs.dll, themeui.dll, and uxtheme.dll files in both folders. Thanks.

System32. You can use a tool called Take Control to enable you to replace the files.

I have the downloads that have the 6.0.6000.16386 files, but the same files I have in the system32 folder and the sysWOW64 folder have a file version of 6.0.6001.18000.

I tried to find information on this before posting. I can only assume I should not replace my files as they do not match the ones I downloaded.

Is there anybody else out there dealing with this?
