Trying to find a good surround system, mostly for my computer, and tv.

However im looking for a wireless system with hangable speakers on walls.

Also trying to see if there is a system that can change audio config depending on what appliance uses it (such as tv, or computer) so when a tv is on, the left speakers play right and vice versa, and the computer plays plays the speakers left or right the way i set it. Not really a big deal I guess, but would be nice if there is such a system out there.

I'm not trying to crap on your thread, but wireless speakers typically don't have enough throughput to get even decent sounding sound.

Plus you either have to plug them into a wall outlet (which mostly defeats the purpose) or run them on batteries (which is a pain in the butt).

never though about that...guess i gotta rethink my strategy here

Yeah, I looked into this also but decided that my wires were not really showing much at all. Ended up buying an Onkyo and different pieces for my 7.1 (not all of them are used though). Must say, I'm still pretty impresssed and that was 3 years ago. It handles everything.

Wireless exists on higher end stuff, but I hear for the "good stuff" it costs and arm and a leg.

Got a Philips HTS-9800W Wireless system myself, which works and plays great thumbs_up.gif

I've always found the sound quality from wireless systems a bit pathetic tbh. IMO, a decent sounding wired set is better than a cheap sounding gimmicky wireless set (and the two will probably cost very similar amounts).

Then again, I haven't really tried one in about a year, not sure how much they have changed in that time.

And do you have to go through the whole plugging speakers into outlets?

Front speakers are plugged into the Bass and all the connectors and cables are plugged into the control unit.
The back speakers are plugged into the wireless unit which is powered by a regular power cord.

So not entirely wireless, but at least I don't have wires across the floor smile.gif
