anybody here using the PS3 eye on a mac , i have seen reviews that say it works with the maccamm drivers i wanted to know if the mic works too , any info would be greatly appreciated. amazon seems to be selling them for a good price and i wanted to know if it works correctly on a mac

Yeah it does work with the MacCam drivers. I have a PSEye and tested it. I can't remember whether the mic works though. Could always try later for you if I remember.

Oh sweet. I knew the mic showed up without the drivers, but i didn't know the camera is useable with the maccam drivers. I assume I can use it with iChat if i did this?

I like showing off whats on my pc screen to a friend whilst editing, so what I usually do is put up a mirror and let the iSight reflect off it, but if this works then I'll just use the PSEye.

Yeah that'd make a hell of a lot more sense.... iChat has screen sharing built right in.. dosnt it?

What he said, I cant edit on a Mac because I use a BlackMagic Intensity card (HDMI I/O) and a 2007 iMac. It's a shame, really. I love FCP.
