Alright, I know this question has been asked lots of times, but I'm not looking for the "best" program out there, because I know all of them can achieve the same overall product, and it's just a different path of getting there.
I have been hearing that Sony Vegas is easy to use, and it's a great program for beginners. I'm leaning towards getting this one, although, I have also been considering Adobe Premiere. The reason I'm considering Adobe, is because I'm very familiar with the Adobe family, and I'm extremely comfortable with using Photoshop.
Which one do you think is better for me? Will Premiere be easier for me to learn due to my knowledge of Photoshop? Or should I go with Las Vegas because of it's ease to use?

What do you want to do exactly in terms of video editing?
Radish™
Edit things such as skits, short movies, music videos and things like that. I already use Windows Media Maker, but I think it's starting to become a little bit limited for me, so I'm ready to learn and start making some serious progress on editing.

honestly I like both Vegas and Premiere. Each program does some things better though so I swap between them a lot. if I had to recommend one it would be Premiere though, but that's my personal opinion.

I'll have to agree with candyman on this one.
I do prefer Premiere myself, it's basicly because I work with a lot of Adobe programs, so for me Premiere was easier to use...
But as said above, Sony Vegas is also really good!
Alright, so I guess I will be going with Adobe Premiere.
Can anyone point me to a good site with tutorials and such for the program?
