Hey guys, was wondering if anyone here in the Home Theater Discussion would happen to know what the size of the fan in the Toshiba HD-A30 HDDVD player is? Mine has recently gotten EXTREMELY loud and I think it's just a cheap, crappy OEM fan that needs to be replaced.

If anyone knows the size of the fan or where I can order a replacement that'd be great!

Thanks guys!

Before you replace it, try to use some WD40 on it. Much easier, and should provide at least a temporary fix. And sorry, I don't know the fan size.

I was trying to decide if it was a ball baring fan to do that, I thought if it wasn't it might just make it worse or kill it all together?

Also would that be entirely safe with the amount of heat that thing puts off?

I sound like a newbie here, my area is computers not home theater devices. wink.gif
