I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question but I believe some moderator can move the thread to the correct place;)

Anyway one of our customers are getting very slow download speed from his VPS, between 15-25kbps. He used to get 200+ before but for some reason it has dropped down to 15-25.

The thing is that we can't find what the problem is. His traceroute is okay so it's most probably nothing wrong with his connection. I should add that I get the same speed as he does but one of our support members is getting 250kbps+.

So does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

The VPS is running on a Quad-Core 750 server with 16gb Ram, it has an unmeterd 100mbit connection and is virtualized using OpenVZ.

Hope someone has an idea what might be wrong.

visit the Datacenter forum, check are there any Network maintenance in progress announcement and if they were done just days ago, it may take 1-2 days for traffic to reshape back to shape as border routers again rebuild cache (depends on maintaince and what optimization is used by DC)

Do you traceroute to your domain , check for low/high replies , paste them to your DC or Webhost admin helpdesk or support system asking then to evaluate that for you.
