I just got a Sony DCR-SR45 HDD digital camcorder today, and i am having the hardest time getting the time and date to stamp to the recorded video. I'd like to be able to add this to home videos so everyone will know the date and everything.
I can't seem to find the feature in the settings. Does any one have a sony DC and maybe the settings are similar and could possibly help me out here?
thanks

okay i've been studying these, and i learned that almost no digital camcorder timestamps the video onto the actual video itself, but rather its a separate file or whatever that has all the time and date stored, and there are actually programs to extract this info, and then burn the dvd and to show the time and date you'd have to have subtitles enabled on your dvd player.
Does anyone know of how to actually do this? lol
Most of the forums and sites that i read never really gave a really good answer. Really just alot of guessing.
