Hey any idea if they'll put in the 'compact' start panel as seen in the Minus4 1.1 and Smooth(or is it Soft?) it's a great idea for minilmalistic themes, I hope it spreads more, we who use a pc more than once a week for sure know what icons go with what words already anyway.

I just don't think that kinda thing would fit with Classix. If you want to mod it to do that, go ahead, but I think gigatexel has worked hard enough on this start menu and is releasing it like he wanted to.

Dude: What's up with my BlueCurve Shell32? I'm using the one by Rivak but I ended up having to choose most of the icons on my own because it's doing stuff like this:

Actually, the whole shell32 doesn't really work. It's like it caches or something.

I started with a fresh shell32, made backup of it and installed the Gnome one, which worked but wasn't what I wanted. So then I replaced Gnome with BlueCurve and most of the icons remain Gnome and then some BlueCurve and some the original.

Frustrating...

It IS cool...slow your guns dude. Just couldn't wait. It's been 2 weeks. But anyway, nobody is distributing your theme. So no offense...BTW good work.

Honestly I think everyone just needs to calm down a bit. Each skin in this style will be completed when it's completed. I also think the number of skins being worked on it's getting a bit confusing as to what everyone is talking about. If possible I would suggest that each application skin be taken to another thread to avoid the confusion that is bound to result as more and more work is done.

In addition a good way to get your skin seen is to have it linked to via the Classix mailing list page (although it doesn't seem to be getting much use anymore...), just let me know and I can get it on there ASAP.

art, that winamp skin looks great. Would it be possible to change the font in the playlist menu to the one from the title bars? The playlist font looks hazy to me. Just a suggestion, looks great as is.

The font in the playlist is because of TrueType (it causes the haziness). I pesonally love the font, and wouldn't want a thing done to it. The title bar font would look kinda weird taking over the whole skin.

how do you guys get the stupid background away in tclock2? i love classix, but not the button, so i changed it, and this is all i could get. any help?
