What makes you think this was specifically made to please you? I made this for myself first then for the people who love minimalistic type themes which as you've probably noticed there's no shortage of. To be honest, that picture you posted made the bile in my liver rise to the top of my throat, one man's treasure is another man's garbage. If you don't like simplistic theme's why would you even bother to enter a thread for a theme entitled "Classix".
Everything that is "Classic" is obviosly simple and un-flashy.

Making this theme "glossy" would defeat the purpose of the theme it self.

I think mac themes are too glossy and busy.

Why don't the millions of authors of the millions of ports make the mac themes like this??? LOL

Cappucino is a Mac theme, and it's minimal.

Well this is something gigatexel would have to approve, however if there is enough demand and he agrees, I'd be more than happy to do just that. I'm just not sure there would be enough usage to justify a dedicated forum, of course I could be wrong. The mailing list is open for discussion, but it's seem relatively little usage except on the part of a few, hence my previous comment.

Fixed a long time ago. As a matter of fact, the alternate is now the default. Go grab the new version from the main page.

any word on the other colors for the new wallpaper included? i'd like to have all the colors of that classix | 03 wallpaper with the graphic towards the top of the screen. i really liked that new wallpaper, but i'd also like the blue color, etc.

i know i make these "requests", but i remember reading a post that said someone was doing all the colors for that new wallpaper.

Gorilla mixed with Bluecurve and a bit of EUSMIS and Gnome thrown in.

They're in the Completed Cursors, Icons, and Wallpapers section. [saint dark] made 'em. Mainly for QuickLaunch.

And if that doesn't work then you might have a faulty uxtheme.dll OR you could be extracting into a subfolder in Resources. Look into the Resources folder just to check you're not putting it like Classix\Classix\Classix.msstyles

No no.
Probably you didn't extract it properly.
Chance is that it created a folder in the themes folder named Classix. Within that folder there is a Goodies, a Classix and a ClassixSD folder.
Well there is you problem.... XP won't notice that there is a Classix theme installed.
Cut and Paste those 3 folders (Goodies, Classix and ClassixSD) into the Themes folder (C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\) and you're ready to go.

I have this problem all the time when I extract the Classix archive with WinRAR. An installer would be nice.

Let me know, I can make InstallShield installers (or just with WinRAR). So if you guys need help with an installer, let me know.

above file will auto patch your uxtheme.dll for you and then restart you pc, then you can use the classix pack:)

We already are working on that. We think Alex could make a nice one for us, but then again, no. We're gonna have an advanced installer most likely. Were you can pick what packages you want and stuff like that, and let you choose where to put each if they are not correct already. Wait up guys. We'll have it soon...hopefully.
