Does anyone have, or know where I can get, the classix that had all the current colors, but the older start menu style. I liked the solid grey menu with the user icon more than I do the current state menu. Its the one with the square for the state icon. Thanks.

Well, Rivak must've made that on his own. Contact him somehow for that. Gigatexel and [saint dark] only included a square one.

I don't know if anybody has pointed this out, but there is problem with this theme and nero (look at the pic attached). Hope to see it fixed in the next update. Besided that the theme is awesome.

I don't know if there's still interest in this theme, but I tried makin a msgina.dll for it. I don't think I'll finish it, cuz I suck at making buttons

Most of the workforce has transfered over to Classix 10k for now. When we finish C10k, and release it, we might begin supporting Classix again. Keep your hopes up.

Okay ... I am totally noob but I found this theme VERY VERY nice and I want to use it ....

So I downloaded the files and put them in C:/windows/resources/theme .... but nothing happened ..

Help for Dummies like me please

this theme is awesome but i have a small problem

the readme says

To install this Visual Style simply copy the folders named 'Classix' and 'ClassixSD' to your 'C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes' folder.

well i did that then i went to Display Properties > Appearance and nothing happened i mean its not listed there....

what do i have to do ??

[saint dark]: where did you get that shellstyle/icons? I've been looking for a good set to replace my default XP ones, but those are the best i've seen.

Also, is there a simple way of changing them all?

you don't have to look through the thread to find the winamp skin, its included with the classix skin when you download the rar file, its under the goodies folder

@Gigatexel, if you could update the links on the first post, the previous download location is going to be no more.

In other news, as if anyone would notice , the Classix Mailing List is no more itself. There were some problems on the server and given the lack of activity and such involved with it, I decided it wasn't really worth the hassle fixing the problems or starting over. I have a feeling though that something will take its place in the near future for all flavors of Classix.

The links for trillian skin and winamp skin are dead... anyone got new ones?

I don't want to read the whole 60 or some pages so if anyone can help I'll really appreciate it. I just installed SP2 and the theme will not work. I double clicked the .msstyles but it gave me the windows classic theme.

Is there a special version for SP2 or a new file that I need?

you need to patch the uxtheme.dll again. since you installed sp2 it overwrite the patched uxtheme.dll from sp1
