Full Version: open firefox search extension in new tab?

Hey neowinians, I used to have an addon that opened the search engine bar in a new tab, not the existing page. Does anyone know what the addon is called?

No idea but why use an extension when you can Middle Click/CTRL+Click?

You can set Tab Mix Plus to do it.

Sorry, couldn't edit my previous post. I found another option: searchOnTab

But Gary7 is right, you can do this with Tab Mix Plus:

Make sure 'Search Bar' is checked here:


And if you want the tab to open in the background, make sure 'Search Bar' is unchecked here:
