Full Version: My Royale Vista System Theme

Using many tweaks and hacks I've converted my system almost entirely to Vista style elements whilst still using Microsoft's Media Center Edition theme. I just like the blue and bright fresh crisp look of it.

Let me know whatchoo think!

And Lastly...

Save / Browse dialogs
(I posted this image as well in another forum on here to ask how I change the buttons in these dialogs because I cannot figure it out. They are the only thing left that I have to do).

You don't have the drive space indicator (below the HDD icon) in My Computer like here: http://thavarajah.dk/sites/thavarajah.dk/u...puter_vista.jpg and umm good for you converting your xp to vista (though there are tons of guides already on how to do something similar)

Oh well I'm not giving any instruction or anything biggrin.gif I'm just sharing all my hard work because I live alone and being as old as I am I don't have much of a social life so I thought it would just be fun to share and get some comments. Though, the final screen shot I've provided is the only thing bugging me, I'm going to start going through some .dll files to find those buttons so I can convert them if no one else can help me.

Drive space indicator huh? Well I can just click once on my Main Drive and it will show me how much space I have left if I really want to know on the left panel in my main window like this:

Drive C Details

I like to maintain a sense of simplicity. Visually and on the Interface. ;-)

I attached a file showing what I meant, I know there is a program on XP to get this functionality, but I forgot what it was called.

Actually I have had it before. Now that you've got me thinking about it I will find it and install it. Only thing I didn't like about it is it uses it's OWN Icons to represent the drive with Image files for different levels indicating how much space is left on your drive. The bar does not actually move. They're just various image files making it look like the bar moves depending on how much space is left. So essentially, out of like 10 images, each image shows a difference of 10 %.

But I'll find it and see if I can install it and how it looks. They're very small I know that. Not big like actual Vista.

And here it is: I'm just updating this post instead of posting a new reply.

Okay and yes Now I have installed Vista Drive Icon. Not exactly the same but I guess it's cool.

I updated the screen shot above for the My Computer image.

Not bad. But it still looks to much like Royale.

That's the idea, but a "newer" looking version of Royale.

If you updated the buttons, the scroll bar, and the windows button, it would be dope. And personally, I don't like the way the inactive window looks.

But it's still dope. I get the idea, a step between Royale and Aero.

I made something kinda similar but with Luna.
