So I've moved into a college apartment complex that provides on-site internet through ethernet jacks in the wall. I get great download speeds (over 1 megabyte per second); however, a handful of websites do NOT render correctly. I have tried this in two different apartments with three different computers. I have tried Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3, and IE7. Attached is what www.facebook.com pulls up and www.wachovia.com. And I put newegg in, too. Google, Neowin, Wikipedia, my University of Florida Webmail--just fine. I should also note that my IMAP mail server can't be reached with Outlook. Ideas?

in firefox, is "View > Page Styles > Basic Styles" selected?
Yes. When I select "No Style", all websites end up looking like this. :-/

If hes tried different browsers and computers, its not that problem.
I'd guess that whoever controls the internet to your apartment is blocking/filtering the web.
You can download Firebug for firefox to see whats going on where and whats not being accessed.

Thanks TurboTuna. I installed Firebug; however, the results were a little to complex for me to comprehend.

I'm gonna give the apartment office a call.
