Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing a iMac in the coming weeks. People are telling me that the 24" iMac has a better panel. Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes, the 24" uses an H-IPS panel which has a better viewing angle and resolves colors more accurately than the TN panel in the 20".

i have the 20" and i have no problem with it, i guess that the quality of the 24" suits more for graphic designers and people like that.

Much better.

I love the colors on my 20'', but the TN panel quality is terrible. The dithering is so obvious.

Exactly.

I'm sure the 20" are pretty good, but I've got the 24" and it's absolutely awesome. I happen to be a graphic designer, so the screen quality is indeed very important.

When I got my iMac (about a month ago), I figured that this wouldn't be something I would be replacing anytime in the very near future, so I might as well bite the bullet and pay a couple hundred more for a better quality, and much larger screen.
