I used to play Midtown Madness 2 witha few friends over lan, fun stuff especially when you get custom cars, also another fun thing is find a smallish track and pick the same car and race, its hell fun knocking your opponets out of control

need for speed 3, (hot pursuit 1) i think was multiplayer. anyhow, you actually had to pull over the other cars and not just wreck them like in NFSHP2

Midtown Madness 1 is graphically and has better physics than two, i make cars for it.
Midtown Madness 2 supports higher poly cars and has numerous addons, but not of hte quality or realism of mm1's.
LFS 2.0 has hte best physics engine to date for a racing game and has awesome multiplayer and graphics. www.liveforspeed.com
those are your top choices for some fun racing, mm1 has single player, multiplayer, an awesome new track made by a friend of mine.
if u do get hte game and want to know where to get cars and trakcs just pm me.
thanx for the response and chadwick ill let u know, im checking out LFS 2.0 right now

Live for speed is by far the best multiplayer racing game ive ever played. Thankyou Chadwick for introducing me to it. Its so sweet, you design and tweak your cars, then race em with other people, graphics are cool too, and the physics are very well done.

I don't really play any racing games on my comp, but Auto Modellista is a great racing game thats online for PS2.
I'm very surprised that no one has said Toca PRO Race Driver or aka DTM Race Driver from Codemasters. That is by far the coolest game cause of the damage realism effects. Microsoft Rallisport Challenge is very cool as well, the replay look needs to be added into the camera cycle much like Project Gotham Racing. I am speaking of the TV camera angle.

zone is full of lamers who convert cars without permission and tweak them and cars that people like me made to go 1000mph.
nobody plays on it, most games are IP games, setup over a chat prog or IRC.
