It's just a bump in version number to coincide with the decision to change Firefox 3.1 to 3.5. Nothing really special here.

isn't minfield the x64 version of firefox? has this thing always been in a beta stage or was it officially released because i remember testing this out years ago. blink.gif

Nightly is just the raw testing phase for the next-next version of Firefox. 3.1 (3.5 actually) is now in Beta, so 3.2 (now just renamed to 3.6) is the next version. It's just kinda the playground. I don't get why people would use it over the normal latest version/beta.

I thought minefield was the name they gave alpha/beta stuff, seeing as I always thought that using the software would be like walking in a Minefield lol

Minefield is the name of the nightly trunk builds. Newest features get added to it first ,but there are days when the builds barely run.

Does anyone know if this works with Windows 7 x64 ok?

I've been using this for about 4 days now and it really blows the socks off of any other Firefox release in terms of speed. Too bad not all extensions work though...

You can force extensions to run with the nightly tester tools.

Yes, but it's not a x64 app.
