ok I tried vistaglazz and it didn't work.
Now I tried uxtheme, and I still couldn't manage to make it work..=\
I took ownership of the three files by Take Control program.
Then I renamed it to *.old (all 3 of them)
then I copied the three patched files to the system32 folder and rebooted the system.
then I copied the .msstyle to the resources>theme folder and got nothing =\
help?

Where you logged in as Administrator ?
The whole process is fiddly and the first few times I did it I did it wrong but it does work and worth persisting. It is free and there are some great styles around.
Enable the Administrator Account
1. Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter or click the Start orb, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
2. Type the following in the command prompt and press Enter after:
net user administrator /active:yes
3. Restart your computer and logon as Administrator.
Note: You might want to set a password for the administrator’s account for at least a little protection.
Disable the Administrative Account
To disable the Administrative account run the Net User command demonstrated above while logged on an account with administrative privileges but not as the Administrator account and replace yes with no.
If you do the changes to the files when logged in as the administrator they should work. If they still don't, remember that after taking ownership of the file you still need to go back into the properties and change the permissions for the file. Fiddly stuff.
