Full Version: how do you change the color of the taskbar on IE8

i want to change from the light blue color that is on the task bar where the favorites and tabs are located. is that possible? thank you

You're going to have to reshack ieframe.dll. The relevant bitmap images are:

769 - background
630, 654, 656 - tabs

If you're not familiar with reshacking, there are plenty of tutorials floating around. This is easy, though, because you're only replacing four images.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to help with that problem. I've edited dialogues throughout Explorer before, but all I've ever done in shellstyle.dll is swap out images here and there. Sorry.
