Martin Brinkmann, at ghacks.net, writes about this Greasemonkey script that combines some config tweaks with a bit of javascript blocking to speed-up popular sites like BBC, Youtube, Digg, MSN, IDMB, Lifehacker, Gizmodo..etc.

I just started using it and the acceleration is very noticeable.

In the first 12 lines I see one item that's wrong and one that will slow the browser down.

Doesn't bode well for the rest of the script.

Lol, that script is a joke. Well I would say 75% of the preferences are valid, but there are some that are just wayyyyy off. Various guides have agreed that http max connections shouldn't be ANYWHERE near 500. Most never suggest more than a handful at best.
