Uh hello.
I've been curious, did anyone ever manage to resource hack skype tray icons?
I've tried doing it with icon group 314(default online tray icons (32-bit and 256 colors)) yet when I try to start the modified exe, it tells me that skype is corrupted and reinstalling will fix.
If I replace the new icon with the old one, it works again :~
Is there some line one has to change for it work or is it a completely lost cause?

Skype's executable has some serious anti-debugging protection and integrity verification, so I'd say you're pretty out of luck.

i remember way back.. over 10 years ago.. I used to reshack all my icons. I remember reshacking the Norton Antivirus icon, which worked fine no problems. I thaught, hang on.... shouldn't Norton pick up that I'm tampering with it. Obviously not.
