This update addresses incompatibilities between Safari 4.0 and certain features in iPhoto '09, including Places and Facebook publishing.

Download: via Apple Software Update.

Restart required.

It seems they've rushed on releasing 4.0 version smile.gif

I think is because update webkit which is used also by Apple Mail. But still I feel the same way.

Yeah... Losing 3 seconds of our lives at every update is really unacceptable.

they havent even changed the build number, its still 4.0, they tried to hide the ****up. installed from their site is a few kb smaller and no update available after installing that. They should have named it 4.01, guess they didnt want neowin and engadget taking the **** out of apple not testing their software before releasing it.
Snakehn
I hope they fixed it from crashing all the %$^& time.
Quillz
I wonder what updates Apple made to WebKit in Safari 4.0.1, considering that it already passes Acid3.
Snakehn
Well, it still crashes here, a lot, so i guess i am forced to do a clean install of the OS realmad.gif
Steeley
This must be a Mac only update, right? It's not showing up in Apple Software Updater on Windows.

Worst thing is ...not at all! It's been in beta for months. I can't understand how they can roll out a 4.0.1 out so quickly tfix a few bugs that weren't fixed during the Beta -> Final phase...
It got me annoyed too, I didn't even upgrade yet. Also, I removed Webkit because it crashed too much, but Safari alone's just as bad. (I removed the nightly version of Webkit, not the whole engine from the original Safari...)

It's still the best browser in the world standards-wise and well... feature-wise (for ME), but it could have been polished a lot.

PCwizard
It hasn't appeared for me either (running Tiger too) so I have a feeling it is.
suspiria
Yeah, my iBook is running Tiger and I see no 4.0.1
.Neo
Time to upgrade I guess. wink.gif
