Whenever I download a style I like for example this one steel flash
I double click on the .theme and nothing happens, double click on the msstyle same thing, nothing happens. Weird thing is it only happens with some visual styles, as an example, in that link I posted, these 2 different VSs, 1 works fine, but the other one doesnt't.

Also all of a sudden glass when maximized now is gone...
Dlls are patched, using Vista SP1.

edit: as an example this is another skin I was trying out, http://bubito.deviantart.com/art/SoulGlass-94861506 same thing I click on the msstyle, the appearance menu comes up, but nothing changes.

I had that. what I did was deleted all the old Visual styles I had then It would let me change it.

could you be more precise? did you delete all the visual styles included aero?
