I'm having problems installing the ut2004 software on my ubuntu tower. i dont understand whats wrong, i did what the read me

asked me to do which was:

The program you run is in the "System" directory:

- Windows admins use "ucc.exe"

- Linux/x86 admins use "ucc-bin"

- Linux/amd64 admins use "ucc-bin-linux-amd64"

- MacOS X admins use "ucc-bin-macosx"


can someone please tell me what im doing wrong ...

What error are you getting? I did this quite a while ago and I should be able to help.

it wont let me open the ucc-bin file and i have to somehow

Just saying "It wont let me" doesnt help us.. to help you. You need to provide us with full detailed messages such as any error messages that may occur

You have to provide us with exactly what happens when you try to execute the ucc-bin file. Does it give you a permission denied error? Does it start to run but fail due to some sorta Library dependencies that are missing? What does the system tell you when you try to run it.

Type "chmod 700 /path/blahblah/ucc-bin"

Replace /path/blahblah as the path to your file.
