I just downloaded and installed the newest Nvidia drivers for my video card, and get this: I re-ran the assessment and my Gaming Graphics rating went from 4.2 to 5.0, but my Desktop Performance for Aero went from 4.5 to 3.6. How can there be such a huge change with one driver?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Restart your system and re run the assessment. At least that fixed the drop for me. The gains stayed on though. :-P

Ah, I'll try that; I didn't even get prompted to restart after the install.

Mine jumped in Windows 7 after the recent driver. Went from 7.1 to 7.8 for both.

It works fine without restart. Just throws wrong score on assessment.

Perhaps you're right; but I rebooted and re-ran the assessment and my Aero figures jumped to 4.3 (from 3.6 after a non-reboot re-assessment)
