Is it possible to save a streaming video either with windows media player 9 or any other program?

(Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this question.)
John
this has been asked a lot. look in the software forum. fyi- wmp will NOT save streamed audio/video. but there are other programs that will (supposedly)

I have a program called StreamBox VCR.

The manufactur no longer seems to make it, so go find it on Google.

I've only used it for RealMedia so I don't know how well it may work with Windows Media files.

Load the ASX file in notepad/wordpad. Then you can see the ASF (or other formats) availble.

windows media files: it depends how the server is configured. i'm pretty sure if it's set up right, you can't save the asf/wma/wmv file...

just depends on the server
