Fallingwater, also known as the Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr. Residence, is a house designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1934 in rural southwestern Pennsylvania, 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The house was built partly over a waterfall in Bear Run at Rural Route 1 in the Mill Run section of Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, in the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains.

The LEGO set contains 811 pieces.

The LEGO set is now considered "Hard To Find" on the LEGO website, as well.

It retails for 99.99$.
(As it is a collectors item it's more expensive than the regular 10¢ per brick that usually is associated with LEGO sets.)

I lucked out and got it for 86.99$.

I may mention, that this is one of my most wanted sets of all time.

To commemorate this, I've changed my wallpaper on my PC to Fallingwater as well.

I am absolutely ecstatic that I found it to have found it today.

I like Lego, but that doesn't look at all fun to build!

Congrats Andrew!

So, does this mean you're going to open it, and build it? Or are you not opening it?

Nice find Minifig smile.gif I don't know much about Lego but it sounds like this is pretty hard to find so it must be a feat. Are there any other rare sets you're looking for now?

Does buying this come with a pull-out bed to put in your parent's basement?

I live in my own house, thank you for trying to insult me though. happy.gif

I would also like to refer to http://brickartist.com/, Nathan Sawaya is 36 years old, owns the largest private collection of LEGO in the world, and makes a living as a brick artist.

Next time you think people live in their parents basement because they play with toys, think before you type.

ew that is the ugliest lego set i have ever seen.

lol seriously. i love legos and still have alot, but that set is ugly.

Doesnt look fun to build, and looks too ugly to keep it together after you build it.

Suppose its great as a collectors item though tongue.gif
Congrats.

It was a joke, not an insult. Calm down. It was meant in jest.

I love FLW, when studying architecture I was always in awe by his work. I've been to the hollyhock house in LA and it was amazing.

Grats! Hope you aren't missing a piece. That would suck.

Glad you opened it and are using it. So many people would leave it packaged.

LEGO will send you any part from any piece from any LEGO set (in the past 10 years) for free, if you goto their website and report a missing piece.

Granted, it takes four to six weeks, but, it's free.
Fubar
while lego can be fun no doubt as my son plays with it endlessly he has moved on to lego technics and by far more entertaining hehe, shame the building looks ugly though like some one else said cant be fun to build cosnidering how dull it looks, wouldnt call it a mile stone though tongue.gif

The Gugenheim really isn't worth it for what they're charging.

It's the size of a dollar bill and its like 49.99$ sad.gif

As you know a lot of the "Base" of it is based in grey 1 by 1s . It drove my mother, myself, and my brother when we built it last year for Christmas stark raving crazy for a week.

This:

The biggest LEGO set released (so far at 6,000 pieces, the E.Tower has 3,428), took less time.
