You still need to install Windows 8 or 8.1 using a legit key, upgrade that to Windows 10 (use your iso) then you can fresh install and activate it. Its a pain in the butt process. You probably should of done like what I did and just do a fresh reset, that would of been the same as a fresh install and would of kept your current activation.
I think its great, been using it for a few years now and has saved my butt a few times with malware, blocked ransom-ware before it locked my system and viruses from dodgy torrents. Id recommend it Lamp0
Yeah it removes all the non-windows stuff. It's the same as a fresh install, only difference I saw was it activated straight away and I had to remove previous install files using Disk Cleanup. When I did that, HDD space was sitting at 17GB. Now after all my program installs and a 3 weeks later of using RTM, im at 68GB used of 128GB. So it works great my friend.
As an insider, it's much easier to just do a 'Reset' and remove everything. That is pretty much the same as a fresh install and saves you the hassel of installing 8. then upgrading to 10, then fresh installing via iso. All you would need to do is turn off the option to stop being an insider and you would just have the insider activated build, which lasts forever anyway. If you plan on testing RedStone, just keep do a fresh reset and keep things as they are.
The problem resides in your language settings and is easily fixed if you're able to re-download a specific language set. Users should goto to settings, language and region and then go to the region for the US, click 'administrative' an change the language to English (US)
It also appears when there is no space available on the HDD you are installing Windows to.
The Razor I reckon would be around for a while, mainly because alot of people haven't even heard of it's existence. It is only starting to be promoted largely by word of mouth. The Pebble has a huge established base, and is widely used already so if It was upto me, that's where my choice would be.
I'm looking forward to this as well, but I think there are more pressing things that need to be fixed first like the 'insert other media' not hanging when linking a image offsite or getting the spy section working again
From what I have read, all you need to do is run the iso and follow the instructions. If you have a legit version of Windows 7 or 8 it will automatically activate. That is what I have read from other members anyway. Brian one of the mods here, did it by updating his Windows 8 machine to Windows 10, then doing a iso based fresh install. He said it activated fine.
