Metro apps use greyscale because they're originally designed for tablets that offered screen rotation, and ClearType only works well with that in specific circumstances (Since it follows the sub pixel order)
Terminology is being mixed up here, both Windows and OS X use sub-pixel AA (MS just calls that ClearType), what differs is the hinting and "sub-pixel positioning".

Pretty sure they said similar things about Skyrim, ended up with randomly generated fetch quests.
I wouldn't mind a system where NPC factions could make their own bases and expand them, so you have to go raid a raider base, or setup trade with a friendly faction outpost (iirc something similar is in-game, but with either your own bases, or predefined trading hubs)

No, it's not designed for any one use, that's partly the issue.
It was only ever needed because the old Windows font rendering API couldn't handle proper outline rendering or scaling, new ones don't have those limitations so it's a single font for screen and print output.

Can we stop doing this over every single feature that multiple browsers implement? Safari, Opera and Edge all do the same thing.

Good thing there's no such thing as ads that automatically play sound right.

Audio indicators on tabs has landed

Tab widths could probably stand to be a bit larger to accommodate it.

It was the same in 8, it merges wired and wireless networks together and leaves room for all of them. Should shrink down to fit the list of options though, it doesn't need to be so big.
You should put your servers onto a separate VLAN then, you're the one with the odd network setup, 99.99% of people won't be running a odd config like that.
As francescob said, it does tell you it's updating the index.

Just enabling EFI booting won't do anything if it wasn't originally installed as a EFI bootable OS, so it won't have any effects under Windows.
And installing it into EFI requires doing a new install, which won't hurt activation either

Yeah, that's the downside of it.
Upside of course is that it allows for completely free form scaling to any resolution/density, something the old rendering method simply can't do.

Yeah, it needs to build up a search index, it's normal.

    Greyscale, which is fairly normal.
What's changed is the hinting, they're doing it correctly now, and it's radically different to the older broken way they used to do it.

You say there's no retail version of Windows 10, but then mention the copies you can buy at retail?

First install needs to be an upgrade from a copy of 7 or 8, you can't do a clean install over an insider build and have it work.
You can upgrade a 7/8 install to the preview and then to the GA build, and then do a clean install. But you need to have the original installation to work off.
