This seems to be strictly directed at the enterprise edition. I've tried to use the .reg script on page 2 and got an error message that it doesn't exist in a script of some sort. Home might be different in some way.
scratch that. the batch file listed above does work in shutting down telemetry. even on home edition

MSFT has made upgrading windows/installing windows so simply a child should be able to do it. but they are a business who feeds off the technically challenged

the other option is, that i'll use. is I have the original windows 8.1 disks that came with my laptop.
    1.reinstall windows 8.1
2.I saved the creation tool and update to windows 10. fortunately, I also downloaded the .iso and have a key for the installation.
with the update, all my drivers worked or work perfectly and makes it easier for reinstallation since all my settings carry over perfectly. that's a way around the issues you probably have.

Ok I tried that and while I also did record in the background, I was testing GRAW and it didn't even start. wondering if there is an issue.

    Windows 10 game recording
It is my understanding that, in Windows 10 has a built in game recording. I've looked around the internet, queried Cortana on the subject and thought maybe some of you studs could tell us how its started.
    many thanks.

that's strange. either something on your system is doing this or could it be due to your location. are you outside the US? I'm just stabbing in the dark here.

I am sticking with with Xenodrome on this one. I'd leave the 32bit version alone. 64 bit is the one you want. But it worked flawlessly on my Toshiba Qosmio X70-AST3GX3. Toshiba doesn't have any windows 10 drivers but I upgraded for anyone who had a laptop/desktop and is afraid to make the jump due to driver concerns. after my update, I had all drivers working, without any problems. for us OEM guys, to reinstall, I'd highly suggest reinstalling the original windows, like my 8.1 THEN, use the .iso or creation tool to upgrade. it saved me from having to surgically pull my drivers from the Toshiba website and install then one by one.
I just saw that Toshiba updated their support to NOW support windows 10

This was what I had more in mind. there was a movement somewhere around the turn of the century to weed out those deemed genetically inferior. But mudslag, that pic is awesome! That's one of my favorite movies. Eugenics according to enccyclopedia britannica  (please forgive the two "CC"'s in my link.
that's the debate. but in my case, when my wife was pregnant, we heard a heart beat in the first 3 weeks of gestation. so there is life but we are walking right into the exact debate that was roe vs wade in 1973

Save your Windows 10 creation tools and .iso's
I have no clear way to say how this will play out but for the un-enlightened, I suggest stashing a copy of the windows creation tool and the .iso file. I might end up having to fork out some cash for a serial installation key to accompany the .iso I downloaded. This iteration of windows, has GOT TO BE the strangest licensing mechanism I've ever witnessed since I started windows in the late 80's with 3.1 (Now that I've given away my age.)
being on a disability income(Veterans Affairs), if anyone has extra keys for windows 10 hit me up on a PM if not, I understand. I meant no imposition. I think some folks get windows and can install on multiple machines with their keys since licensing, check and see so I don't cause you to be compromised in any way but I like to be gracious and say thank you ahead of time.

Planned Parenthood can't shutdown the government. However, in legalese terms, it could have a long lasting effect on Roe vs Wade. Which I despise personally. at any rate, Planned Parenthood is simply a eugenics agency which receives funding (somehow), how?, I' don't know. But defunding PP would be a great idea as the government should NEVER have gotten into funding it in the first place. ok found out how HERE (http://www.factcheck.org/2011/04/planned-parenthood/)

Question: I want to use cortana for a voice command idea
I am thrilled with Windows 10, I'm on the Home version, I like it, it does what I need. What I'm looking for is some of the brightest talent around here on neowin.
Project name: Cortana blitzkrieg (no big deal, just an idea I have)
to put it simply, it seems that Cortana has a lot more functionality than most would believe or understand. my question is, how can one, if possible, code Cortana to shutdown my laptop with my voice command? Simply put, I'd like to simply say, "Cortana, shutdown laptop/PC". is there a way to work with Cortana to do this, or does something like it already exist?
    thanks in the meantime.
