Haven't felt the urge to clean install yet. I had to reinstall a couple of small things after the upgrade but otherwise it's been smooth sailing. Reminds me of when I went from XP to 7. I expected to cling to XP a bit or maybe revert to it but I ended up dropping it shortly afterwards. Backed up my 7 partition before the upgrade but can't see myself going back now. The underlying OS feels great but the Modern apps are pants. Too barebones or plain flaky to replace the programs I've been using all this time. Hopefully in time they'll get better but I won't be relying on any of them for the time being.
After updating from 7 I stuck with a local account for login. Then when I wanted to use the store I setup my Microsoft one. When I launch MS apps they pop up a list of available accounts and I pick my MS one from there. If you just want to use your MS account for the apps but not for Windows login, that works.
Updated my desktop today. Used Disk Cleanup first to get rid of the downloaded update files seeing as the WU upgrade method was still failing. Then upgraded from iso. Everything went smooth and Windows was preactivated on boot. As this is my daily driver I'll be finding all sorts of things to try and comes to terms with as time goes on but so far nothing has broken. I wanted to try the Game DVR but I guess not all games support it (or the shortcut key to activate it ingame).
Another weird thing happened earlier (seems to be the day for it). When updating apps from the Store I got an alert saying that I'd reached my device limit for Store installs. But I only have 3 devices...
Anyone with a laptop have the trackpad scrolling direction inverted after the update? I had it working the proper way in 8.1. Now it's using the Steve Jobs way. No visible option anywhere in the settings for Windows or the Synaptic trackpad.
