If you?ve ever wanted to download torrents on your iOS device, then iTransmission is the way to go. While Apple (currently) wouldn?t let something like this into the App Store, you can download it for free from (the developer has removed the app from Cydia) : http://code.google.com/p/itransmission . iTransmission is currently in beta, so there may be some bugs. It?s very easy to use, works very well, and works for both the iPhone/iPod Touch and the iPad. For you developers out there, iTransmission is open-source.

iTransmission, like most torrent clients, offers 3 different methods for starting downloads:

URL - Paste a direct-URL to a .torrent file.

Filesystem ? This feature currently isn?t available, but you?ll be able to choose a .torrent file that?s already somewhere on your iDevice.

Magnet - Similar to the URL method, but you?ll be able to use a magnet: instead of a .torrent file.

iTransmission is a native BitTorrent client on iOS, uses libtransmission as its backend.

Minimum iOS 4.0 for iPhone and iOS 3.2 for iPad is required. Older iPhones or iPod Touches may suffer severely in performance.

Please download the newest IPA file from Downloads tab. For those who previously installed from my Cydia repository please uninstall it from Cydia and then install newer version (that I'll keep updating) from Downloads tab.

Adding task from both torrent URL or magnet.

Transmission?s web interface.

Automatic port mapping (UPnP) for users behind routers.

Choosing which network interface (Cellular network or WiFi) to use.
