Meh, I'll probably get it because as a long time Final Fantasy fan that is what I do, but to me FF13 was pretty damn disappointing, and this is essentially more of the same.

I'm in the same situation as a FF fan but having said that there is a slim chance that this could turn out different. I was ok with the new battle system and leveling system etc in FF13 the problem was with the big chunk of linear levels and lack of any good character dev. This could fix those 2 problems now and be more open and give us better character dev also. Gonna have to wait and see how it turns out.

looks like the last one, fail... never been more disappointed in a game in my life then I was with ff13. hopefully the psp outing of this game will be a better effort.

Kinda lost me after 10 and tbh this just looks like more of the same. Probs pass. FF for me hasnt been A grade gaming since FF9

Looks alright, looking at the latest trailer, looks like it will introduce hubs and NPC's again. Which is a welcome addition.
I think that was my main problem with FF13 was how linear it was.

I enjoyed FF13 too, but it's true that I found the first part of the game way too linear. In any case, I'll surely get FF13-2 while waiting for Versus.

I played it on release on PS3 then went through and 100% it on Xbox 360. It was a glorious 200 hours that I hope to do all over again with XIII-2

Of all the ones to do another sequel too...
Why do they always pick the (majority) crap ones.
Go back and do a FFIX or FF6 Sequel ^_^.
Or atleast get the developers from those and make another good Final Fantasy game...Been so long since I have played a decent one, not counting replaying the older, epic FFs.

FF13 was an amazing game. I loved it, and I'm about to start playing it again to get all the achievements. I can't wait for 2.

the quicktime events look good, and finally we have an instant battle engine, i hated the one in FF13
