I'm in the same situation as a FF fan but having said that there is a slim chance that this could turn out different. I was ok with the new battle system and leveling system etc in FF13 the problem was with the big chunk of linear levels and lack of any good character dev. I played it on release on PS3 then went through and 100% it on Xbox 360. Or atleast get the developers from those and make another good Final Fantasy game...Been so long since I have played a decent one, not counting replaying the older, epic FFs. It's the stupidest mechanic ever. Got a question, the last FF I played religiously was FF7, can I play 8-12 on the PS3? I bought 13 a couple of weeks ago been playing it for a bit 11 is an MMO while 10, 10-2 and 12 are PS2.
